Red Lion's Waste to Energy (W2E) Thermal Conversion Process is approximately 70% energy efficient, with the majority of the process energy used to maintain internal systems. The process uses steam naturally generated by feedstock, recapturing the expended energy. There are no uncontrollable emissions or secondary hazardous waste streams. Future design iterations will capture more process energy for combined cycle productive uses.

As a result of this proprietary process, you can expect between a 15% - 80% reduction in your carbon footprint. In addition to reducing your carbon footprint, Red Lion also minimizes your plant's physical footprint. The modular facility requires a 100 ft. x 100 ft. footprint, and the unit can handle 300 tons of feedstock daily. The GREET model (by Department of Energy) shows an 89% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for an integrated bio-refinery model for making liquid fuels from biomass.
